Size Guide
Choosing a size.
With diamond painting, size and detail go together. Each diamond is a fixed size, so a larger canvas simply holds more of them — which means finer gradations, rounder curves and, above all, more convincing faces. If your design depends on expression or fine detail, choose up.
A rough guide
- 30×40 cm — single, simple subjects; a first project; a gift.
- 40×50 & 50×50 cm — most designs sit comfortably here, with room for detail.
- 40×60 & 40×80 cm — landscapes and fuller compositions that want width.
- 60×80 cm and above — portraits, complex scenes and statement pieces.
Faces and fine detail
Portraits are the clearest case: at smaller sizes, features have too few diamonds to resolve and can flatten. For any face, we recommend 50×50 cm or larger.
Orientation
Choose the orientation that suits your wall and your image — portrait for figures, landscape for scenes. Where a design offers both, the product page will say so.
