If you have never tried diamond painting, this is everything you need to begin — and the good news is that there is very little to learn. It is one of the most forgiving crafts there is.
What you need
Just a kit. Every NordikAtelier kit is complete: the printed adhesive canvas, the diamonds sorted by colour, a pen applicator, wax and a tray. Add a flat, well-lit table and an unhurried hour.
Getting started
- Lay the canvas flat and smooth out any curl.
- Peel back a small section of the protective film — work in patches, not all at once.
- Dip the pen tip in the wax, lift a diamond, and press it onto its matching symbol.
- Work one colour or one area at a time until the image fills in.
A few gentle tips
- Start with a smaller size for a first project — see our Size Guide.
- Round diamonds are the easiest to place; more on round vs square.
- Pour out one colour at a time to keep things tidy.
- Press each diamond gently but firmly; there is no need to force it.
Finishing up
When you are done, press the whole canvas flat, seal it if you like, and frame it. That is the whole craft — calm, simple and genuinely satisfying.
