There is no single answer — and that is part of the appeal. A diamond painting takes exactly as long as you want to spend on it. But here is a rough sense of what to expect.
It depends on size and detail
A small 30×40 cm design might take a few relaxed evenings. A large, detailed 60×80 cm piece is a project to return to over several weeks. Square diamonds, which sit edge-to-edge, take a little longer to place than round.
It is not meant to be rushed
Most people do not sit down to finish a diamond painting quickly. They return to it — half an hour here, a quiet evening there — and enjoy watching it grow. The slow pace is the point.
Choosing for your time
For something to complete in a sitting or two, choose a smaller size. For a long, absorbing project, go large. Either way, you end with something to frame. See the Size Guide.
